The city of Końskie has been existent since the 11th century. Firstly, it was connected with the house of the Odrowąż, but after the 17th C. the Małachowski family became most meaningful in its history. In centre of the city there is a park complex, which belongs to one of the most interesting in Poland. It is an example of, so called, little garden architecture form the late 18th and early 19th C.. Here you can admire an Egyptian Orangey, a Greek Temple, a House of Wnuczęta, numerous bowers, gloriettes (arbours with columns built to glorify the surrounding) and fences with turrets. It is an attraction for all amateurs of elaborate architecture and interesting aesthetic solutions.

In the park, where many trees, mostly limes and oaks, have already been given the status of a nature monument, there is a remarkable palace complex with two semicircular wings. Next to it, in the local department of the Polish Tourist and Sightseeing Society, you can find a Memorial Chamber of the Końskie Land Traditions with an exhibition of the local historic relics. When being near the city square, it is worth to visit the St. Nicholas Church from the break of 15th and 16th C. and see a peculiar sundial from 1621.
